There are times when you may want to message an individual and other times when you want to share an article or ask a question of a specific group. If you want to do that, you can share with groups or send directly to individuals.
However, you may not realize you can message your connections within industries without posting within a group.
Here’s how to use Linked In to network within your industry connections:
Linked In sorts your connections by name, industry, geography and other categories.
Step 1: Go to your contacts
You’ll end up with your contacts in alphabetical order.
Step 2: Let’s say you want to send a message to an industry group. You click “industries” and it arranges all your contacts into the industries they choose.
Step 3: Click on the highlighted link of a group you want to send your message.
An email box will pop up with the names of your contacts in the “to” field. If you want to exclude certain people, you’ll have that option.

Fill in your message and send away.
What other ways do you use Linked In? I’d love to hear in the comments below.
